Name Transportation Expansion (T-REX) Project

Description
  • Widen 17 miles of interstate (one or two lane additions) and reconfigure interchanges in most congested corridor in the region.

  • Reconstruct eight interchanges and replace 13 bridges and widen others.

  • On same right of way, construct a 19 mile Light Rail Transit (LRT) line extension in median, including 13 new stations and improvements to the existing Broadway station.

  • LRT line will connect to the Central Corridor LRT, providing service to downtown Denver and to the Southwest LRT line, providing service to Englewood and Littleton
